Internet Technologies for Creativity and Innovation - myassignmenthelp
Question: Discuss about theInternet Technologies for Creativity and Innovation. Answer: Introduction The internet as we know is going to change; today its a massive network that allows people to communicate with each other. With the implementation of the technique emails, sharing data with it the use various websites, it is the people that really drive the internet today (Cui, 2016). The data which is send comes from various devices such as Personal Computers, laptops mobiles then it goes to some servers and then the servers sends it further for processing. Thus we can say the internet is made of three major actors the people, the cloud devices and the servers. A whole new category of actor is being added to the internet which can be called as internet of things; hence the term internet of things can be a future goal in many working areas. It can be stated that the internet of thing is basically anything that has a sensor attached to it which can transfer the data further up into the internet that can be analyzed or used to make decisions. Examples of such sensors are temperature se nsor, usage monitor etc. these things then further send that data to a person or a piece of software to make these decisions. Smart phones, social media all changed the way that we do things both in a personal level in a business level (Benardos Vosniakos, 2017). Internet of Things (IoT) The internet of thing is mainly considered as a system of interrelated devices of computer, digital machine and mechanical which are provided with identifier which are unique and has the ability to transfer the data over a network (Mulani Pingle, 2016). This technique is done without any human interference or computer human interaction. The internet of things evolved from the wireless convergence concept of technology, micro service and system which are related to internet (Cui, 2016). The wall between the information technology and operational technology was broken with the convergence of the technology. Practical implementation of the technology can be found everywhere and in many sectors of industry. The example of industry where internet of things can be implemented are building management, health care industry and transportation sector (Osseiran et al., 2017) All devices in the internet of things must communicate with each other in order to provide a good communication and working of the technology (Dong et al., 2016) within the application of industry, sensors on the product can increase efficiency and as a result of which the waste production would be reduced highly. If the internet of things and its concepts can be implemented in a proper way it could lead to a serious impact in many fields (Li Da Xu, 2017). Improved application or implementation are making their approach in the real world and it can be estimated that internet of thing with the new technology would play a vital role in the near future. Example of an Internet of Things device The Omega 2 - it is the worlds simplest tiniest development board which can easily fit into any project. The omega 2 is a flaxen computer which powers some of the most mission critical infrastructure (Mulani Pingle, 2016). The omega 2 works out of the box which comes with built-in wifi and onboard storage which comes to life the moment you power it on. The omega 2 is easy to program. its supports many programming languages such as python, PHP, C++ and many more just pick one and start building (Osseiran et al., 2016) The omega 2 is cloud connected which means u can remote control it from anywhere in the world using any smart device. Benefits of OMEGA 2 It does not just benefits one but everyone such as business, society etc because it saves time and money. It is uses in home security devices are uses in homes to monitor their houses on a timely basis from anywhere in the world. OMEGA 2 used in lighting systems (automated turnoff lights) can save money on your electricity bill. Now a days we all want out devices to be connected to each other using OMEGA 2 us stay connected to these things so that we can keep a track on what we are doing , listening, reading etc as we move from place to place (Bughin Chui, 2017). Drawbacks of OMEGA 2 As all of the appliances, public sector services industrial machinery are connected to a network, it can be hacked by professional hackers making them vulnerable. Different devices of different manufactures are going to connect there will be a compatibility issue which can be solved if all just agree to one common standard. Any failure or bugs in the software will result in crashing the whole system (Osseiran et al., 2016). Unskilled workers will lose their jobs due to automation resulting in unemployment problems. Advantage of internet of things Ubiquitous network: Connection of the wifi is easy. Connected computing: Keeping track of what is going on with any aspect involved in it Ubiquitous sensor: It can be implemented everywhere because internet of things is also wearable revolution(Benardos Vosniakos, 2017). Analytics as a Service: Anything can be done which drives the attention of the user. Intelligence at the periphery of the network: every disk and each sensor will be a competent (Bui, 2016). Conclusion It can be concluded from the report that its a market with a lot of potential development, using these types of products helps save a lot of time and money. Although it has its disadvantages but we should not overlook the fact that its going to chance the environment around us as we know it and efforts will be implemented to combat those disadvantages. Internet of things may set new platforms in the distant future. Internet of things will result in the growth of economy so progressive companies like Intel Samsung are trying to capture this market. It is estimated that by 2020, 26 billion devices will be connected to it. References Benardos, P. G., Vosniakos, G. C. (2017). Internet of things and industrial applications for precision machining. Emotions and feelings in Star Wars Essay Example For Students
Emotions and feelings in Star Wars Essay Lacunas Star Wars gag even went further than the big screen by inspiring comics, video games, toys. And other merchandise making Lucas a billionaire. His first three movies he made in the saga are New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of The Jed. In this Star Wars trilogy, George Lucas illustrates that the hero must be wounded either physically or emotionally to be open to spiritual knowledge and transformation. Leis wounds open her to love, Lakes wounds open him to becoming a Jed Knight, and Nanking Jaywalkers wounds open him to redemption. These transformations are marked by physical and emotional wounds. In George Lacunas Star Wars, Leis physical and emotional wounds open her up to love. First, Leila is wounded emotionally by the Death Star destroying her home planet of Alderman. A button is pressed which switches on a panel to lights. A hooded imperial soldier reaches overhead and pulls a lever, Another lever is pulled. Evader reaches for still another lever and a back of lights on a panel and wall light up. A huge beam of light emanates from within a cone-shaped area and converges into a single laser beam out toward Alderman. The small green planet of Alderman is blown into space dust (Lucas New Hope 44). Princess Leila has been captured from the consolers ship and is being interrogated by General Tartan. He is asking her about the whereabouts of the rebel base and if she doesnt comply he will destroy her home planet of Alderman. She finally decides to lie so her home planet Will be spared except they thank her for her cooperation, throw her in the detention level, and destroy Alderman any, bay. Leila is wounded emotionally by this because that was her home planet the Empire just destroyed using the Death Star. That means her family and all her friends and loved ones were on Alderman and they all got completely destroyed. Everything that was her past and childhood memories was just destroyed right before her eyes. Lucas included this wounding because it is a very strong one. Leila just basically lost everything in one quick moment, He uses it also to show her strength in being able to control her emotions. Next, Leila is wounded emotionally by watching Han get frozen in the carbon freezing chamber. Tears roll down Leis face as she watches the dashing pirate walk to the hydraulic platform (Lucas Empire Strikes Back 70). Dearth Evader uses Han as a sort of test dummy to test the carbon-freezing chamber on. He is testing to see it it will keep the person inside alive because Evader plans to use it on Luke later on, It is also a trap to attract Luke to Cloud City so Evader can capture him. This shows that Leis heart is completely open to love because she tells Han she loves him and even gets emotional when he gets ready to be frozen. Han responds with l know (Lucas Empire Strikes Back 70) showing the love between the two and without a doubt proving that Leila is now balanced between head and heart. Lucas has Han get frozen in carbon to reveal Leis true emotions and show that her heart is finally open to love. She shows it by telling him she loves him and tearing up about it. It shows that she does care and truly does love Han. Last, Leila is wounded physically by becoming a slave to Jab the Hut. Therewith is standing behind the grotesque gangster as he strokes Leila like a pet cat. Several of the guards, including Land bring Luke from the other side of the room. Bob is standing behind Jab (Lucas Return of the Jed 18). After trying to rescue Han from Sabas palace, Leila gets captured by Jab and he uses her as his personal slave. He keeps her by him held by a chain. By becoming a slave to Jab it opens Leis heart to even more emotions of love because her lover, Han, rescues her. Lucas has Leila get captured because it will drive Han even more to rescue her, This proves his love for Leila because he risks his own life by protecting her. By the end of all of these experiences, Leis heart is completely open to love showing her full emotions, In George Lacunas trilogy Star Wars, Lakes wounds open him to becoming a Jed Knight. Movie Subplot - The Monuments Men EssayYouve failed, Your Highness. Am a Jed, like my father before me (Lucas Empire Strikes Back 84). In the trilogy Star Wars, by George Lucas, Nanking Jaywalkers wounds open him up to redemption. First, Nanking Jaywalker gets emotionally wounded by the Sand People kill his mother, After the Sand People kill Shim, Manikins mother, he goes on a rage and kills an entire village of Tusked people including women and hillier, He does this out of anger, Manikins mother Shim gets captured by the Sand people. He then goes to tree her and help her escape because of the love he has for his mother. As Nanking is walking her out of the village a Tusked raider shoots and kills Shim. This puts Nanking in an outrage and he then massacres the entire village out of anger and hate with his light saber, This emotionally wounds Nanking greatly because the Sand people just killed his mother. Shim was the woman he loved and cared about the most, He had always taken care of her and supported for her. Now that they just murdered her, it sent him on an unstoppable rage. Lucas has this happen to set Nanking on his course to becoming Dearth Evader. All the hate and anger that came into him after this event turned him evil therefore setting him up for later redemption. Next, Nanking is physically founded by falling into a burning lava pit. Manikins clothing blows into the lava river and ignites. Suddenly Nanking bursts into flames and starts screaming (Lucas Revenge of the Sits 89). Obi-Wan and Nanking are fighting on the volcanic planet Of Mustard. Obi-Wan cuts Off Manikins arm and greatly mounds him sending him falling close to the lava river in which his clothes ignite and his body is badly burned almost to the point Of death. This greatly wounds Nanking and sets him on his way to being the mechanical more-machine-than- human Dearth Evader. After he lies injured for a While he is finally spotted by Dearth Studious and what is left of him is put in a medical capsule. They then turn him into Dearth Evader by replacing his injured parts with robotic parts making him more machine than human. Last, Nanking is wounded physically by saving his son Luke. Evader grabs the Emperor from behind, fighting for control of the robed Geiger despite the Dark Lords weakened body and gravely weakened arm. The Emperor struggles in his embrace, his bolt-shooting hands now lifted high, away from Luke. Now the white lightning arcs back to strike at Evader. He stumbles with his load as the sparks rain off his helmet and flow down over his black cape. He holds his evil master high over his head and walks to the edge of the abyss at the central core of the throne room. With one final burst of his once awesome strength, Dearth Evader hurls the Emperors body into the bottomless shaft (Lucas Return of the Jed 86). Then, Evaders cape is whipped by the wind and he staggers, and collapses toward the bottomless hole. Luke crawls to his fathers side and pulls him away from the edge of the abyss to safety. 80th the young Jed and the giant warrior are too weak to move (Lucas Return of the Jed 861 In the Death Star, Nanking watches his son dying and then the good in him kicks in as Luke begs his father for help. Nanking steps in and sacrifices himself for his son _ Nanking redeems himself here for all the evil he has done by sacrificing himself for the love Of his son Luke. He just cant bare it anymore to watch his son suffer so e acts on love and saves his son from the Emperor killing himself in the process.

One and Done free essay sample
Many players couldnt handle the big leap from going to the prom, to making millions of dollars and competing at a very high level. Eventually the NBA made a rule that all high school graduates had to be at least one year removed from high school and at least nineteen years of age. With this new rule, athletes started going to college for only one year before participating in the NBA draft. This is what sparked the rule as we know it today as the One and Done rule. This rule has hurt college basketball and made a mockery of college education as we sed to know it, but if we were to change this rule, it would greatly help these young athletes. The One and Done rule has hurt college basketball in many ways. With players not being able to leave high school straight for the NBA, many athletes are going to school Just for one year then leaving. We will write a custom essay sample on One and Done or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This hurts the coaches every year because they are constantly losing young players every year and not having a chance to develop them or the team. You could make the case that if it such a burden for coaches then why dont they stop recruiting them? Well, some of these one-year athletes are so ood that sometimes the only way to win is by recruiting them. If they were to change the rule this would significantly help limit the amount of players who would leave early for the draft because all of the athletes who are good enough to play at the NBA level would already be there. A new rule that should be put in place is that once entering college, it is mandatory that all athletes must have completed at least three years of college before declaring for the draft. This rule has proven to work in other leagues including the NFL and the MLB. If it is proven to work in other leagues, why cant the NBA adopt this rule? Not only is the one and done rule hurting college basketball, but it is making a mockery of the college system. With only going to school for one year not much emphasis is put on scholastics for these athletes. According to Stewart Carlin of the House of Blogs, Since college basketball is the only 2 semester sport on the college calendar, you may not realize that a player can go to class for the first semester, get passing grades and become eligible to play for the 2nd semester, and then NEVER go o class in the 2nd semester. With these athletes only having to go to college for one semester, it really gives them a poor perspective of what college really is. What are but there is more to life then basketball and when the time comes, these athletes will have nothing to fall back on. These young men are supposed to be student-athletes, student coming first, not athlete-students. If we were to eliminate this rule, and implant a new one that made athletes stay for at least three years, this would greatly benefit these young men. This rule would enefit many players because it would give them a great way to ensure their future. They would get their education paid for and they would have a back up plan if the NBA didnt work out for them. This rule would also help them to mature and become more team oriented basketball players. Many athletes coming straight out of high school have very selfish demeanors because they have never been apart of a real team. This would also give these athletes time to mature physically as well. There have been many athletes who have struggled in the NBA because they tried to make he leap too early before their bodies had time to develop. Overall this rule would help these athletes in all aspects. I understand that there are always exceptions to the rule (g. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, etc. ), players who have all successfully played in the NBA coming straight out of high school, but for every one of those players there is a hundred more who get hurt by this rule. Are these rare players really worth ruining the hundreds of other great players that could have been great if someone would have made them attend college? At least if they didnt urn out to be great players, they would at least have an education to put them ahead in life.

economic regulations essays
economic regulations essays The U.S and the world economy like everything else have its ups and downs. The government plays a crucial role in deciding how the economy will set over time. An Economist by the name of John Maynard Keynes felt that if either inflation or unemployment got out of hand, the government could adjust the business cycle to balance the economy. Keynes was more geared toward the bigger picture and focused on macroeconomics. His work led to the government and many economists believing that they had control over the economy. This led to economic regulations, which affected everyone from companies to the consumers. Through the history of our economy the government has made changes by enforcing many regulations to have full control of the growth and power of the economy and to protect the consumers. Regulations can be divided into two different categories, Economic regulations and Social regulations. An Economic regulation covers sectors of the economy such as electricity, natural gas, communications, transportation, aviation, agriculture, and banking. These regulations usually include barriers to entry and exit, licensing and tariff laws, and the control of prices and wages. These regulations include acts such as the banking act of 1933 or the civil aeronautics act of 1938. Social regulations on the other hand, are there to protect the consumers. These regulations concern such things as health and safety of workers, environmental issues, and civil rights. Unlike the Economic regulations these were created much later in the 1960s and 70s. Examples of Social regulations would include the food and drug administration and the Equal Opportunity Commission, which protects employers. Regulations were starting to appear around the time of the New Deal. The governments main purpose for enforcing these regulations was because competition among corporations was starting to fail. The bulk of these regulations were put int...

Look up on urbandictionary.com and you will find,ââ¬Å"The kids who live in are extremely stuck up and think that they are better than everyone because their Dad is CEO of some fortune 500 company or plays golf with Donald Trump. Very preppy and all of the kids there are freakishly good at lax.â⬠I always figured stereotypes were true for a reason, simply because the majority of the people in that designated group act in such a manner. But thatââ¬â¢s the key word, majority. What ever happened to the people that donââ¬â¢t quite fit into that cookie cutter category? No, I am not white, wealthy, or remotely skilled at sports. But I did define myself in a community that made me believe at a young age that different was unacceptable. Many outsiders look at ### through a very blurred lens. Sure, they can see the vague outlines of big houses and secure streets, but they are missing the microscopic details. Behind all the extraordinary homes, you can find my unimpressive abode, nestled right on the border of ### and ###. Growing up I felt exactly like a small mediocre home amongst daunting houses. Frankly, I was the outsider. I had dark skin and black hair, where as all my peers had fair skin and light eyes. So, as any misfit pre-teen would do, I sought out an easy solution to my troubles. Step one was to dress according to the status quo. Surprisingly, I was successful inconvincing myself that Uggs, skin tight Abercrombie shirts, and overpriced plaid skirts were fashionable. Step two was to detach myself from every aspect of my Guyanese and Sri Lankan heritage. Finally, step three was to speak and act generically. At the end of this drastic transformation I was no longer myself. Admittedly, I was a carbon copy of everything that initially deteriorated my self esteem. It was not until one fateful day in 9th grade, when I looked in my mirror, that I discovered this fact. I examined myself in that mirror for a long while, pondering the distinct differences between my present and former self. I was ashamed at my synthetic and in genuine exterior. The most disappointing part was the fact that my naked wrist was missing the traditional Buddhist bracelet that was defining to my religion. How could I stoop so low to actually reject my own culture? Although seemingly insignificant, this moment turned my entire life around. As of that instant, I have decided to embrace my combination culture rather than reject it. I am proud to be of Guyanese and Sri Lankan decent because nobody else in my community is. Essentially, there is no need to be that generic stucco house a couple of blocks over. In fact, itââ¬â¢s more rewarding to be fulfilled with a humble home. It doesnââ¬â¢t matter what the exterior of that house is made of, whether it be worn down shingle or luxurious stone. All that matters is the soul thatââ¬â¢s within it, the heart that makes that house a home.

Finacial & legal aspecat of procurement Assignment
Finacial & legal aspecat of procurement - Assignment Example nstruction of structures, fixing of electronics and navigation devices, maintenance of auxiliary systems, technical support to engineers and other shipyard services depend on the available specialized labor. Structural developments take the biggest chunk of labor expense followed outfit and furnishings because they are done virtually on a daily basis. Another cost driver is the purchase of materials (Moelmann & Harris, pg30). Fixing of electrical appliances cost the company heavily due to the high cost of purchasing special devices such as adaptors, which are very critical in navigation and propulsion. Materials increase overhead costs due to the ever-changing prices of imported appliances and accessories. The accounting office can hardly obtain a definite estimate of the overhead costs to be incurred on product accessories and appliance in all accounting phase. Most of the purchased materials are imported from Japan and Germany. The fluctuating world prices shift the costs from time to time making it quite impossible to project the actual cost of materials. Propulsion materials have a high depreciation rate due to the busy schedule of the transport company in all the segments in deals in. In shipping and land courier services, the expense is high on oil and engine spare parts. The cost of petrol, gearbox replacements is high and almost a fixed cost because it is the only available method of propulsion. For shipping high capacity, diesel engines are expensive to repair and the oil prices keep rising regardless of the increase in the cost of different engine models. In the last financial period, the company had to purchase more spare parts for the ship engines and 20 more courier vans to serve on the land segment. The overall cost of the company doubled even when the cost of technical support, auxiliary systems, and electrical appliances remained the same. This significantly affected the profit margin going down at its lowest in a decade. Fees and insurance has

AUDITING Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
AUDITING - Essay Example The paper will also indicate any recommendation on furthering the audit in case of an audit problem. Finally the paper will outline the actions following the further work done on the audit. Analysis of the Four Items Debtors During interim audit preparation, a list of who owes the company and the total amount they owe is drafted. According to the trial balance dated 31st March 2011, the amount expected from the debtors amounts to 950,000 pounds. During auditing, the expectation is that the schedule of debtors or the accounts receivables should always agree with the figures in the financial statements (Loughran 2010). Audit problems normally arise as a result of not taking into considerations the risks involved when dealing with accounts receivables. The accounts receivables that have been listed may be inaccurate. It is also possible that the receivables may not be existing or may not be collectible. The audit should consider the write offs of the bad debts. The sales transaction sho uld always be processed at the right period to avoid recording of sales due the next period. In this case for instance, Multi gym which is a private company, may be defaulting from paying 95,000 pounds, the reason being the machines they purchased from Wentworth Brewster limited could be used for reasons related to jamming (Montgomery 2009). This therefore, has to be indicated in the bad debts and deducted from the accounts receivables. There debtors have balances at the end of the year that range from 5000 to 20000 pounds. The specific amount of the balances is not specified. This could lead to assumptions that may trigger false figures in the income statements. The schedule for the accounts receivables hold be reviewed so toà match with those in the financial statement. Claim for Damages During audit preparation, a schedule should be done relating to the creditors of the firm or those individuals or business that have a claim. The totals in the formulated list should always be e qual with the figures in the financial statement. According to the trial balance dated 31st March 2011, the total amount of money claimed for damages is 25000 pounds. This amount should be included in the schedule as amount payable to the individual claiming. However, the draft has not included provision for claims from other customers (Loughran 2010). For instance, the three customers have placed claims against retailers for suffering injuries as a result of vague instructions. For there to be a correct indication of the reality on the grounds, the draft should make a provision for such claims then they will be directed to the company. Stock The trial balance indicated stock amounting to 1.6 million pounds. According to the laid down accounting principles, it is required stock for the previous period to be reported in that period. This therefore presents an audit problem. In order to determine stock for the period, the amount of stock currently being held is subtracted from sales o f that period. This resulting figure indicates the stock that has been sold. This is therefore added to the beginning inventory to determine the total stock available for dale. This is where the audit discovers that 0.5 million stock was included in the previously concluded period. Rent Rent when considered as an income should be recorded in the period, it is received and not reported. According to
